Your participation in United Way events supports our ongoing work throughout KFL&A and is great way for you to get involved in the work we do on a regular basis, all in the name of building a better community for everyone!

2017 Events

Pickleball United Tournament

Friday, August 18th, 2017 8:30am-3pm
The Kingston Curling Club invites you to join the fun in this game for all! Pickleball is a sport that combines tennis, ping-pong and badminton played with small paddles and a wiffleball. Individual registration is $75 per person and each participant is asked to bring an item for the silent auction. The day includes a buffet style lunch, awards, prizes and more! [Buy Tickets]

Kingston & District Labour Council – A Day in the Park

Monday, September 4, 2017
Please join the Kingston and District Labour Council for the Annual Labour Day Parade and Picnic. The event begins at McBurney Park (Ordnance and Clergy Streets) and is open to the public. Everyone is welcome. Please join us in the park and enjoy music, food and fun for the kids.

United Way 2017 Campaign Kick-off Breakfast

Friday, September 8, 2017, Doors Open at 7:00am – Agenda Begins at 7:30am
We’re starting off Campaign 2017 the way we always do, over breakfast at the Ambassador Hotel & Conference Centre. Join over 600 volunteers for a hot buffet breakfast as we announce our region-wide fundraising goal. This event is generously sponsored by the Ambassador Hotel & Conference Centre.

Fare for Friends

September 17, 2017 (2 pm – 6 pm)
In true garden party style, guests of Fare for Friends relax in the elegance of enormous white tents, and stroll around the grounds of the Vimy Officers’ Mess on the banks of the St. Lawrence River. Don’t miss the region’s best garden party, where patrons sample culinary delights, excellent wines and beer, all while enjoying live music and participating in a lively auction. Seeing Is Believing Tour

Thursday, September 21st and Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 (9:45 am – 2 pm)
The ‘Seeing Is Believing’ bus tours provide volunteers and media partners with an opportunity to see first-hand where their donations go as they visit local agencies and programs, and meet the front line workers and recipients of services.
