For the past 20 years, each June, United Way volunteers have gathered in teams to help agencies with projects at the annual Day of Caring. The day is an opportunity to show their local love and help agencies with gardening, renovations, cleaning projects and more. Volunteers also learn about the impact of their donations and the local agencies that make a difference in the lives of KFL&A residents every day.
In 2021, the United Way will adapt the event to allow for different engagement opportunities, while ensuring health and safety protocols are followed. This year we will be asking volunteers to indicate whether they are able to volunteer virtually, in-person (outdoor only) or if they would like to donate items through a donation drive or similar activity.
This year’s Day of Caring will take place on June 11th, 2021.
To continue the spirit of Day of Caring the United Way will adapt the event to allow for different engagement opportunities, ensuring health and safety protocols are followed. This year we will be asking volunteers to indicate whether they are able to volunteer virtually, in-person (outdoor only) or if they would like to donate items through a donation drive or similar activity.
