United Way Next Gen Sociable a Successful Event
Thanks to the hard work and support of the sponsors, participants, and the Next Gen volunteer committee, Next Gen Sociable had 250 guests and raised over $8,500 to support the United Way serving KFL&A.
Next Gen Sociable, Next Gen’s signature event, was held on April 6, 2013 at The Grand Theatre. Next Gen Sociable provides an afternoon of fun, offering sampling of specialty beer and whisky with live entertainment. This year there were ten breweries, a tasting range of six unique whiskies and hors d’oeuvres from a local gourmet catering company.
Guests enjoyed live music from Justin André, Debbie Laprade with Johnny San and Gingy as well as information sessions on whisky and beer from Sylvain Bouffard, and Ian Coutts.
In 2012 United Way funded programs helped 85,000 people in our community.
