An unforgettable afternoon of fine wine, exceptional food, and live entertainment
United Way’s Fare for Friends returns to the Vimy Officer’s Mess, Canadian Forces Base Kingston, on September 7 from 2-6 p.m. Patrons can sample culinary delights, excellent wines and microbrewery beer while enjoying live entertainment and participating in a lively auction.
Many local restaurants will be participating, including Bread & Butter Bakery and Fine Pastries, Chien Noir, Chez Piggy, Curry Original, Kingston Keg Steakhouse & Bar, Pan Chancho Bakery & Café, Red House, Sir John’s Public House, Sweet Days Bake Shop, The Grizzly Grill and The Rivermill Restaurant – just to name a few. To complement the exceptional cuisine, wineries and breweries will be on hand to offer samples of their finest wines and brews. Live and silent auction items are donated by local artists and business, offering a wide range of exciting items, including home décor items, pampering packages, art work, entertainment packages and much more.
Fare for Friends is the largest fundraising event of the United Way KFLA, raising over $90,000 last year. Over the past 20 years, the event has raised over $1 million dollars for programs that help people in our community when they need it most.
