Over 70 cadets from the Royal Military College took the stage to show off their talents during the college’s annual Concert in Scarlets held Saturday, March 17th at the Kingston Gospel Temple for the United Way.
Over 500 guests attended the concert which included performances from Brass & Reed, Choir, Stage Band, Pipes and Drums and Highland Dancers. The concert also included a special dedication to OCDT Mathieu LeClair, who passed away earlier this year.
A special thank you to Royal Military College Commandant Brigadier-General J.G.E. Tremblay, MWO Chris Embree and Concert OPI Ophelia Reymes, Deputy OPI David Boots, cadets and everyone who helped make this event a success!
About the RMC Band
The Band of the Royal Military College of Canada was formed in 1953. Starting as a Bagpipe and Highland Drum ensemble, it has since grown to include a Brass and Reed section, a Choir, and a section of Highland Dancers. The RMC Band is presently the largest voluntary band in the Canadian Forces.
About the United Way KFL&A
Established in 1941, United Way serving KFL&A has worked to strengthen lives by bringing together the financial resources of the community – business, labour, individuals and government – in support of a network of social service and health agencies. Through these agencies and their programs, people find help and in many cases opportunity for a better life. Over 74,000 people in KFL&A received help last year from a United Way funded service.
