Royal Military College Cadets to Play for United Way on March 16
Tickets now on sale for annual RMC Concert in Scarlets
Over 70 performers from Royal Military College cadets will take to the stage to share their talents during the college’s annual Concert in Scarlets on Saturday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at the Kingston Gospel Temple located at 2295 Princess Street, Kingston. Tickets are on sale now.
The afternoon will be full of diverse music pieces with many Cadets taking the opportunity to play solos. The show features Brass & Reeds, Stage Band, Pipes & Drums, Highland dancers and Choir performing modern, traditional, military and highland music.
“The Cadets are thrilled to have the opportunity to perform a concert for the Kingston Public and to raise funds for United Way while also showcasing the amazing talent our RMC Cadets possess,” says Warrant Officer Catherine Norris. “The cadets have spent many hours rehearsing the music for this concert and we’re sure that the music pieces and Highland dancers will entertain concert-goers of all ages.”
“We are very grateful for all of the contributions that the RMC Cadets make to the local community through the United Way,” says United Way President & CEO Bhavana Varma. “Cadets and staff volunteer their time to practice for this concert and we appreciate their commitment to helping others. With so many talented Cadets on stage, it will be a wonderful show.”
Tickets are available in advance at: the United Way Office, 417 Bagot Street; Cannex (RMC and CFB Kingston) and at the door. Admission is $10 for adult and seniors, $5 for students $5 and children 12 and under are free. The doors open at 1:30 p.m.
