Queen’s Science Formal Boosts United Way
Before the ball, the public was invited for a preview, with all proceeds going to support the local United Way.
HAGGERTY: “We always partner with the United Way, it’s a great cause, and it’s great to have things we do reach out to the community. A lot of the things at school are kind of centered around students and fun things for the students, and this is a great way to reach out to the community, have them come see the fruits of our hard labours, and see what we’ve learned in our four years at Queen’s and how we apply it to the real world.”
One of North America’s top ten “Best Black Tie Events” took place right here in Kingston on Saturday evening.
Paris was just one of the world cities re-created within the walls of Grant and Kingston halls at Queen’s University.
It was all built for the annual Queen’s Science formal.
This is the one-hundred-and-ninth edition of the popular event, which has seen students volunteer thousands of hours to construct elaborate designs and structures for the festivities.
