Ontario Change The World

Who: Youth in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington

What: United Way Volunteer Services is facilitating a youth volunteer campaign, a province-wide  strategy to encourage youth to volunteer in their communities.

Why: With a goal of 300-500 total hours of youth volunteering during this 3 week challenge from April 15 to May 6, the community will celebrate youth volunteers in the KFL&A area!

Photo Opportunity – Activities for May 2, 2012

Elementary School Road Race
Annual competition involving elementary age students who run a cross country race.  Close to 40 Loyalist Collegiate students help organize and run the event.
Date & Time: May 2, 11:00 a.m.
Location: Loyalist Collegiate

Steve Mantle High School Girls Soccer Tournament
Annual soccer tournament involving area high school girls teams.  Approximately 20-40 Lasalle students help organize and run the event.
Date & Time: May 2, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: Lasalle Secondary School
