Celebration of Beer, Scotch and Music to raise funds for the United Way
If you’re looking for something fun to do this long weekend, it’s still not too late to purchase your ticket for the First Annual HopScotch Kingston. HopScotch will take place at The Grand Theatre (218 Princess Street) this Saturday, May 19, from 3 – 7 p.m.
HopScotch is a celebration of local and independent beer, whisky and live entertainment. Over a dozen beverage vendors will offer tastings on the second floor of the theater while local bands provide live entertainment in the Baby Grand. HopScotch will also feature beer and whisky connoisseurs who will provide specialized tours and information sessions to enhance your tasting experience.
“Next Gen is focused on younger people, ages 25 to 40, encouraging them to get involved in the United Way” says Bhavana Varma, President & CEO United Way KFL&A. “We are looking forward to this first annual event which engages the next generation of community leaders. Members of our Next Gen initiative have done a fabulous job organizing this event.”
Tickets are just $20 (plus applicable taxes and fees) and can be purchased at The Grand Theatre box office, by phone (613-530-2050) and online at www.kingstongrand.ca. For more information on HopScotch visit www.HopScotchKingston.com.
