PHOTO OP: Commando Challenge takes place this Saturday
The United Way has teamed up with CFB Kingston for the Commando Challenge this Saturday.
Who: 12 teams of six have signed up for the challenge this year. The following teams will be competing: Corus Entertainment, RMC Women’s Volleyball Team, CFB Kingston Personnel Support Programs, St. Lawrence Vikings, Kingston Fire & Rescue, Full Metal Chamber (Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce), Commando Hero Squad (Canadian Hearing Society), Operation Teamwork (Defence Construction Canada), City of Kingston, Empire Life Commandos, Get R Done (Assurant Solutions) and the Dragon Slayers (St George’s Cathedral).
What: In this groundbreaking event, teams battle one another for bragging rights (and a trophy!) as they navigate, climb, and shoot their way through the Base’s confidence course.
Spectators are welcome, but cannot get involved in the event and must stay a safe distance from the course.
All proceeds from the Commando Challenge will go to the United Way KFL&A.
Where: The Commando Challenge will take place at various venues around CFB Kingston, mainly around the Rifle Range.
When: Saturday, September 15, starting at 8 a.m. sharp. The challenge will take place rain or shine.
