Campaign Kick-off Breakfast tickets on sale now
United Way to announce 2013 Campaign goal on September 10
KINGSTON, ONT. / August 19, 2013 – Lori MacDonald, 2013 United Way Campaign Chair, invites you to join us for the annual Campaign Kick-off Breakfast on Tuesday, September 10, at the Ambassador Conference Resort. The doors open at 7 a.m. and ceremonies start at 7:30 a.m.
MacDonald will cut the ribbon on Campaign 2013 and announce the region-wide campaign goal. Over 600 United Way supporters, volunteers and donors will enjoy a delicious hot and cold buffet breakfast, along with a generous helping of community spirit.
Every year thousands of volunteers, organizations, frontline agencies, professional staff and our media partners come together to raise funds for services that help their families, friends and neighbours. Last year United Way invested in 89 programs, all of which benefit people right here in our community.
In 2012 KFL&A residents set a local fundraising record as they exceeded the $3,350,000 goal and raised an astonishing $3,403,260. It marked the 14th straight year in which the United Way has surpassed its fundraising goal.
This year’s Campaign Kick-off is sponsored by Ring Wireless by Tyroute and the Ambassador Conference Resort.
