19th Annual United Way Fare for Friends

Friends and family gathered around the tent at Vimy’s Officers Mess in September to help raise over $76,000 for United Way KFL&A.

Every year this event brings together the area’s finest restaurants, wineries and breweries. Live and silent auction items are gathered from local artists and business, offering a wide range of exciting items. All of the food, drinks and auction items are generously donated.

Over the past 19 years, Fare For Friends has raised over $1 million for vital care programs in our community. All proceeds support local programs that benefit thousands of residents.

United Way of KFL&A would like to acknowledge this traditional territory’s longer existence and its significance for the Indigenous people who lived and continue to live on Turtle Island.

We are situated on traditional Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat land. There are Métis and other non-status First People from many Indigenous Nations present in our community today. This acknowledgement symbolizes the United Way KFL&A’s first step, of many, along this path toward Indigenous reconciliation, in a respectful manner.
