Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2018 Urban Point-in-Time (PiT) Homeless Count for Kingston, Ontario on April 11, 2018.
We are putting together a team of approximately 100 volunteers to help gather this valuable data. You will receive training and will be assigned to a team to cover a pre-mapped area. Teams will conduct a survey of individuals who are outdoors and may be encountering homelessness.
Interested volunteers must be 18 years or older, and available from 5 pm to midnight on the evening of the count. While we have some volunteer positions that do not require walking, most volunteers are required to be able to walk for 3-4 hours.
Volunteer registration and a mandatory training session will be held on April 11th at Regiopolis Notre Dame Secondary School (Russell Street entrance – off of Division Street), from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Pizza and refreshments will be provided.
