2022 United Way Campaign Chair Announced
United Way KFL&A gears up for its 81st annual campaign

Kingston, ON (April 28th, 2022) – The United Way of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington is pleased to announce the appointment of Jane Lapointe, Senior Wealth Advisor with Assante Financial – Fenlon Division, as your 2022 Campaign Chair.

Lapointe has been involved for many years with the United Way of KFL&A, most recently co-chairing the very successful Women United initiative. This year’s campaign will build on the great momentum generated by 2021 chair Daren Dougall, Regional Manager, for the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services.

“KFL&A is a community that I am proud to have lived in for most of my life, and I am honoured to have been the chair of an incredibly successful United Way Campaign.,” reflects Dougall. “Being in front of this year’s campaign was exciting, and truly demonstrated what I already knew – that our community cares deeply for each other and is willing to step forward with support.”

This year’s campaign will focus on sharing how people in KFL&A can continue to support individuals in vulnerable situations and impact local lives. United Way KFL&A continuously evaluates the evolving situation on the ground, knowing that agencies continue to work hard to address challenges that persist beyond the end of the pandemic. The need in the community is high, and people in KFL&A are relying on the support of agencies that is made possible through the generosity of donors.

“The United Way gives each of us an opportunity to make our community better,” says Lapointe. “I am excited to do my part and have seen firsthand the power we have when we come together as donors and volunteers. Ours is a community of deep caring and resiliency. I am excited to work together to make the 2022 campaign a great success.”

The 81st annual United Way KFL&A Campaign will kick off on Friday, September 9, 2022. Stay tuned for more details.
