McDougall Insurance celebrates 75th anniversary with donation to United Way KFL&A
Insurance brokerage shows their local love with community appreciation BBQ and generous support

KINGSTON, ON (September 7, 2021) – Kingston based McDougall Insurance is celebrating their 75th anniversary this year and celebrating by giving back to the community they have served since 1946.

On September 9th, from 12 to 2pm, McDougall is inviting clients and members of the community to the parking lot of their downtown location at 321 Concession Street for an appreciation BBQ. They will also be presenting a donation of $4,500 to the United Way KFL&A.

“McDougall Insurance has always been about supporting and giving back to our local communities. The work done by United Way KFL&A aligns very well with our company values which makes them a perfect fit to be the recipient of our donation in celebration of our 75th anniversary,” states Andrew Walsh, Kingston Regional Manager at McDougall Insurance.

The donation comes as United Way KFL&A prepares to kick off the 2021 Campaign on September 10th and is a welcome start to this year’s fundraising.

United Way of KFL&A would like to acknowledge this traditional territory’s longer existence and its significance for the Indigenous people who lived and continue to live on Turtle Island.

We are situated on traditional Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat land. There are Métis and other non-status First People from many Indigenous Nations present in our community today. This acknowledgement symbolizes the United Way KFL&A’s first step, of many, along this path toward Indigenous reconciliation, in a respectful manner.
