Update:The results are in and Kingston is full of smiles… and cookies! The first ever Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign was a great success, with local owners presenting United Way Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington with a cheque for $66,642.57!

A big thank you the local store owners for choosing the United Way as their charity partner, thanks to Tim Hortons and thank you to the incredible community for supporting this campaign.
We’d also like to thank all the amazing volunteers that helped spread the word at stores, decorated cookies and of course purchased a few too! 

Local Tim Hortons restaurants in Kingston raised an impressive $133,285.14 from the sale of Holiday Smile Cookies, with Tim Hortons Foundation Camps receiving the rest of the local proceeds from the campaign. The United Way funds will help our community agencies and programs continue their important work right here in Kingston, helping our most vulnerable community members.

Smile cookies are back! The cookie everyone loves is coming back for a special holiday campaign with 100% of proceeds supporting charities across Canada.

Here in Kingston, United Way Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington is excited to be the recipient! Community members can show their local love by purchasing cookies from November 13 – 19, 2023 at participating locations!

100% of proceeds go to local charities, community groups and Tims Camps (50% local charities 50% Tim Hortons Foundation Camps). The holiday smile cookie is a seasonal twist on iconic Smile Cookie – white chocolate sprinkle cookie with a white icing smile and eyes.

How can you show your support during the Smile Cookie campaign?

  • Visit your local participating Tim Hortons between November 13 – 19 and buy a Smile Cookie for $1.50 (plus tax) or two, or a couple dozen!
  • Pre-order a box/boxes of Smile Cookies. Be the office favourite, show your gratitude or just make sure your cookie order is filled when you want it – download an order form, drop it off at your preferred location and pick up when you’d like.  Pre-orders must be made 48 hours in advance. United Way of KFL&A would like to acknowledge this traditional territory’s longer existence and its significance for the Indigenous people who lived and continue to live on Turtle Island.

We are situated on traditional Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat land. There are Métis and other non-status First People from many Indigenous Nations present in our community today. This acknowledgement symbolizes the United Way KFL&A’s first step, of many, along this path toward Indigenous reconciliation, in a respectful manner.
