Day of Caring

Thank you to everyone who took part in the 2025 Day of Caring – over 400 volunteers  from 28 workplaces across KFL&A completed projects at 38 agencies across the city!  Teams helped agencies with painting, planting, grass cutting, cleaning, building furniture and more! These projects would not be possible without you. And a big thanks to all the amazing sponsors, volunteers and organizers.

For the past 20+ years, United Way volunteer teams have shown their local love and helped agencies with gardening, renovations, and more at the annual Day of Caring. In 2025, the United Way Day of Caring will continue this tradition once again with in-person projects to help agencies throughout the community!

Day of Caring will take place on

Day of Caring brings together volunteers from local organizations and local agencies, to provide much needed assistance through projects that often include repair work, gardening, painting, and cleaning. This fun event generates a team building experience and community engagement for all involved. This one-day community-wide blitz of painting, landscaping, and light maintenance for local and under-resourced agencies will conclude with a celebration following the Day of Caring projects.
