2026 United Way KFL&A Campaign Chair Announced
Long-time volunteer and local healthcare professional, Krista Wells Pearce, to lead this year’s fundraising campaign
Kingston, ON (April 29, 2026) – The United Way Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington is pleased to announce the appointment of long-time United Way volunteer and local healthcare professional, Krista Wells Pearce as the Chair of the 2026 Campaign.
“I’m honoured to serve as Campaign Chair this year and look forward to working alongside our dedicated Campaign Cabinet and community volunteers to build on last year’s momentum,” said Wells Pearce. “When we come together, our community can accomplish incredible things and continue supporting our neighbours across KFL&A.”
Wells Pearce has been a leader with Providence Care and their United Way workplace campaign for several years and a member of the United Way KFL&A Campaign Cabinet since 2021 as the Sector Co-Chair for Healthcare and Agencies. She also joined the United Way KFL&A Board of Directors in 2023. In 2024, she took on the role of Co-Chair of Women United, helping the group continue to bring together like-minded women who want to use their skills, talents and resources to contribute to their community.
“Our community is fortunate to benefit from such strong volunteer leadership each year,” said John DiPaolo, President & CEO of United Way KFL&A. “Krista is an exceptional individual, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to work alongside her, our dedicated Campaign Cabinet, and our incredible volunteers once again. In a time of global uncertainty, it’s reassuring to see the generosity of our community as we continue to support our most vulnerable friends, family, and neighbours.”
The annual campaign raises funds that are invested locally to support programs serving people facing vulnerability. United Way KFL&A partners with agencies and organizations to address challenges and urgent community needs including homelessness, food insecurity, addictions, and mental health.
“United Way recognizes the growing uncertainty, and that agencies and programs across our community are experiencing increased demand for their services,” added Wells Pearce. “I’ve seen firsthand the difference this community’s generosity makes for both organizations and the people they support, and I’m confident we’ll come together again for another successful campaign this year – changing our tomorrow, today.”
The 86th annual United Way KFL&A Campaign will kick off on Thursday, September 10th, 2026. Stay tuned for more details.
