For Canadians who are blind or partially sighted, physical distancing can present a unique set of challenges
With physical distancing measures in place, it can be difficult for people with sight loss to pick up their groceries and prescriptions. We currently have a need for 4 volunteers to assist with picking up groceries weekly for a participant in the following areas, Kingston, Napanee, Sharbot Lake, Gananoque. If you live in any of these areas and willing to help, we'd love to hear from you. Together, we'll ensure our community stays connected.
We are also looking for a few Volunteers who enjoy chatting on the phone to make a weekly friendly phone call to a participant in our Virtual Vision Mate program
You can enquire to firstname.lastname@example.org, or apply through the CNIB website link, https://www.cnib.ca/en/programs-and-services/live/virtual-vision-mate-program?region=on_east and identify grocery shopping or social calls and your area of geographic location in your interest form.
