Good Food Stand-KFL&A is a new initiative that launched in our community in August 2018. The aim of the project is to improve food access for individuals and households in our region by providing fresh produce at reduced rates, one week every month in rotating locations across the KFL&A area.
Volunteers are needed to help operate the stand at its rotating locations. Volunteers will assist with loading and unloading, stall set up and clear up, and customer service.
The Good Food Stand will be operating during the following weeks commencing:
- November 12th 2018
- December 10th 2018
- January 14th 2019
- February 11th 2019
- March 4th 2019
- April 8th 2019
- May 13th 2019
- June 10th 2019
Shifts are available each day of the weeks above, from 2:00pm to 5:45pm, at the following Good Food Stand locations in KFL&A:
- Mondays - Regiopolis-Notre Dame Catholic High School
- Tuesdays - Sydenham High School
- Wednesdays - Napanee District Secondary School
- Thursdays - LaSalle Secondary School
- Fridays - Bayridge Secondary School
Please note that due to the nature of the role, volunteers require a recent CPIC background check, including a Vulnerable Sector check.
