The Gallery Coordinator will promote the use of the Window Art Gallery, and will organize and direct volunteers in the booking of exhibitions, scheduling gallery office volunteers, hanging exhibitions, and receptions. S/He will ensure the creating of posters for exhibitions, maintaining exhibition booking schedule in the office, producing labels for exhibitions, producing a registration sheet for each artist, with list of their works, checking art into and out of the gallery, completing sales transactions, maintaining sales records, passing forms to treasurer for payment to artists. Some Gallery maintenance work, i.e. patching and painting walls as needed. Computer skills essential as well as excellent communication and public service skills.
Training will be provided in the systems, forms and procedures needed to carry out this position. This position will require a few hours a week, usually during the day, plus occasional weekend hours for art show receptions.
