Our mission as a non-profit, charitable arts hub is to offer high-quality opportunities for people with disabilities and those facing barriers to create, study, and produce works in the arts throughout their lives and as they age.
Learn more about our programs:
H’art Studio– a year-round day program for adults with developmental disabilities who are working to reach their highest potential through the arts;
THE BOX - a fully accessible and affordable performing arts space. Our outreach program supports and advances the use of the space by individuals, groups, and organizations experiencing exclusion from the arts. It encourages community collaboration, inclusivity, and public engagement. Home to Able Artists – an ongoing series of performances and workshops by professional artists with disabilities and leaders in the inclusive arts field from across Canada.
The Mix - our new 4,000 square foot multi-use workshop space and public art gallery and presentation space. Together, people with disabilities, the D/deaf community, inclusive arts groups, resident theatre groups, and trained artist-facilitators learn, develop, rehearse, exhibit, and collaborate. Also Home to MixAbilities, our award-winning inclusive arts training program that features six modules, instructional videos, an inclusivity guide, best practices for virtual art workshops, and practicum opportunities. Our roster of trained artists now offers inclusive outreach workshops to the wider community in The Mix.
