United Way Fare For Friends - Kingston's favourite garden party!

Fare For Friends brings together 'the best of the best'.... Kingston and area's finest restaurants, Canadian vineyards and breweries.  It is the United Way serving KFL&A's premiere fundraising event.

In true garden party style, guests of Fare for Friends relax in the elegance of enormous white tents, or stroll around the grounds of the Vimy Officers' Mess, on the banks of the St. Lawrence River.  Truly the best party, patrons sample culinary delights, excellent wines and microbrewery beer, all while enjoying live entertainment.

Fare For Friends:

•The event started in 1993, and has continued to be a successful event

•Fare For Friends is the largest fundraising event of the United Way serving Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington

•It is held on a Sunday afternoon in September on the grounds of Vimy Officers' Mess, located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River

•This event brings together the area's finest restaurants who participate with sampling of their specialities; wineries from across Ontario feature their latest and favourite wines and breweries provide samples of their brews

•All restaurants, wineries and breweries donate the food, wine, brews and their time

•Tax receipts are issued for a portion of the ticket price

•A live and silent auction is held during the event, with all items donated from florists and various businesses across the region

•In the past 16 years Fare For Friends has raised over $889,000 for vital care programs and services in our community

Due to licensing and insurance restrictions, we are unable to provide tickets to children under the age of 19.  Tickets are non-refundable.  Taxi chits for Kingston will be available upon request at the event.
