United Way Grants and Funding
The United Way distributes grants to agencies through a variety of funding streams. As the largest non-government funder of social services in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington, United Way funding provides support to programs that benefit local residents.

One-Time Grants
One-Time Grants Funding Guidelines
United Way provides grants through the year to community agencies including member and non-member agencies. There are 3 granting opportunities:
- Community Impact Grants
- Innovation Grants
- Success By 6 Grants

1. Community Impact grants
2011 Community Impact Grant Application
Consolidated Financial Schedule
Program/Project Budget
This granting stream encourages an innovative and collaborative response to local social needs.

There is one call for applications every year

The maximum grant amount is $25,000 for member and non-member agencies and $40,000 for partner agencies
- Member, demonstration, non-member and partner agencies are eligible for funding
- Programs, projects and capital items qualify for funding
2. Innovation grants

Program/Project Budget
These grants are provided to non-member agencies for local projects, programs and services in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington.
- Up to $2,500 is given per agency
- Applications are received annually in June
- Only non-member agencies are eligble for funding through this stream
Submission Deadlines: 1st Monday in June
3. Success By 6 Grants
2011 Success By 6 Grant Application
Program/Project Budget
Grants will be made through United Way’s Success By 6 initiative for specific programs, services or projects that address one or more of the initiatives Six Pursuits.

One-time grants will be awarded once annually, in May

Funding is provided for programs with preventive approach to issues faced by children ages 0-6 years, their parents and caregivers.
