Fare For Friends:

• The event started in 1993, and is the largest fundraising event of the United Way serving Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington

• It is held on a Sunday afternoon in September on the grounds of Vimy Officers' Mess, located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River

• This event brings together the area's finest restaurants who participate with sampling of their specialities; wineries from across Ontario feature their latest and favourite wines and breweries provide samples of their brews

• All restaurants, wineries and breweries donate the food, wine, brews and their time

• Tax receipts are issued for a portion of the ticket price

• A live and silent auction is held during the event, with all items donated from florists and various businesses across the region

• Over the past 18 years Fare For Friends has raised over $1 million for vital care programs and services in our community

• This year, as we crossed the million dollar mark, all ticket holders received a keepsake wine glass, specially etched to commemorate the occasion

Due to licensing and insurance restrictions, we are unable to provide tickets to children under the age of 19.  Tickets are non-refundable.  Taxi chits for Kingston will be available upon request at the event.
All proceeds go to the United Way serving KFL&A
