United Way Day of Caring June 8, 2012

Workplace teams will spend the day at United Way member agencies to help with light construction and maintenance chores.

Day of Caring is a community-wide United Way event that demonstrates the power of volunteering. It involves teams from area businesses within the community, going to United Way member agencies for a specified period of time (half-day or full-day) to assist with a particular project that has been determined in advance.

These projects may include such tasks as construction, restoration, community/agency special events and doing agency work. By providing a team of volunteers for just one day, or a half-day, companies help member agencies to complete needed tasks. Projects can be allotted as full day or half day to meet your worker’s needs.
