Leadership Development Services

Leadership Development Services (LDS) is a community building initiative introduced by the United Way of Canada to help non-profit Boards of Directors deal with the ever changing landscape of the voluntary sector. Through assessment, training, and follow-up, Leadership Development Services brings together trained facilitators and staff with volunteer Board of Directors.

Leadership Development Services was introduced by the United Way in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington to provide a service designed to strengthen the voluntary sector by strengthening local non-profit Boards of Directors.  Our focus is to empower organizations and facilitate the process of governance, decision making and change. We believe that organizations will benefit from the training and focus on Board development.
